1. When was Amogha established?
    AMOGHA was born on 19th day of December 2002. With almost two decades of operation, Amogha proudly stands tall for nurturing the future of its students.
  2. Is it recognized / approved by government/UGC?
    YES
    At Amogha we have many approvals as listed below:

    • University Grants Commission after detailed inspection of our Physical and Academic Infrastructure has registered us under Section 2(f) and 12(B) of UGC Act 1956.
    • B.Sc. Nursing course is approved by Indian Nursing Council, Delhi, UP State Medical Faculty, Lucknow, and affiliated to CCS University, Meerut.
    • GNM Nursing course is approved by Indian Nursing Council, Delhi and UP State Medical Faculty, Lucknow.
    • M.Sc. Nursing course is approved by Indian Nursing Council, Delhi, UP State Medical Faculty, Lucknow, and affiliated to CCS University, Meerut.
    • B.Ed course is approved by NCTE, Jaipur, and affiliated to CCS University, Meerut.
  3. Does it give government approved degree? What is its value?
    YES

    Since we are an affiliated college of CCS University, Meerut, the degree of B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing / B.Ed. is awarded by the CCS University, Meerut. This is one of the oldest government universities of UP. Therefore the degree is recognized and accepted all over India and abroad.

    For GNM, since the diploma is awarded by the UP State medical faculty, it is a government diploma and not a private college/university diploma. Therefore it is accepted all over India and even abroad. Many of our students carrying this diploma are working overseas also besides in India.

  4. When does the admission start in Amogha for UG and PG programme?
    Usually the admission process for all nursing courses – UG and PG, start from January. However, for B.Ed the entrance is conducted in March/ April .
  5. Is there any entrance examination for admission to the Nursing course?
    NO
    There is no entrance conducted by the university/council for any nursing course till date. The admissions are done on the basis of the merit of the marks in the qualifying examinations and the interview conducted for the same.
  6. What are the formalities required to be fulfilled for the admission?

  7. What is the fee of nursing course? Is there any extra donation to be paid besides the fee?

  8. Is the fee refundable?
    NO
    The entire fee paid at the time of admission as registration fee or admission fee or course fee or any and all other fee paid thereafter for the course is not refundable. The student and his parents/guardians give an undertaking to the college/institute that the fees once deposited to the institute shall not be demanded back by or refunded back to him/her in part or full if he/she cancels or withdraws the admission for any reason whatsoever or if his/her admission is cancelled by the CCS University or UP State Medical Faculty or INC or the Institute due to change in their rules and regulations or due to any discrepancy in the information, facts and/or document(s) submitted by him/her or due to any disciplinary action against him/her or due to any other reason whatsoever. And in such an event, if the admission of the student is withdrawn / cancelled from the institute at any time before completion of the entire course, then the student shall be liable to pay the full fee of the institute for the entire course before withdrawing / cancelling the admission and the institute shall have the full right to claim the fees for the balance period of completion of the course legally or otherwise. And in case of such an event of cancellation/withdrawal of the admission from the institute at any time before completion of the entire course, the institute shall have the full right to use the post dated cheques and scholarship amount (if received) towards payment of the balance fee of the entire course and also, shall have the right to retain all the original documents (submitted by him/her at the time of admission) till the time the balance fee of the entire course is paid/cleared by to the institute.
  9. What is the duration of the Nursing courses and the difference between the various courses?
    B.Sc. Nursing is a 4 year degree course while GNM is a 3 year diploma course. However, since both the courses are awarded government degree/diploma, they both have very high and strong value and demand in the market/industry.
  10. What are the job prospects after the Nursing courses?
    Nurses are a critical part of healthcare and make up the largest section of the health profession. The demand for qualified and skilled nurses continues to grow with the expansion of healthcare facilities in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, orphanages, old age homes and maternity homes. With the expansion of educational and training institutions in nursing, the demand for Nursing teachers is also increasing.

    According to the World Health Statistics Report (WHO, 2013), there are approximately 29 million nurses and midwives in the world, with 3.9 million of those individuals in the United States. Estimates of upwards of one million additional nurses will be needed by 2020 (WHO, 2013). WHO offers opportunities for graduate students and outstanding nurse or midwife leaders to be involved in global health.

    Employment of registered nurses is projected to grow 15 percent from 2016 to 2026, much faster than the average for all occupations. The Registered Nurses (RNs) workforce is expected to grow from 2.9 million in 2016 to 3.4 million in 2026, an increase of 438,100 or 15% in the U.S.

    According to The American Nurses Association (ANA) (2018), there will be more registered nurse jobs available through 2022 than any other profession in the United States. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics (2018) projects 1.1 million additional nurses are needed to avoid a further shortage. Employment opportunities for nurses are projected to grow at a faster rate (15%) than all other occupations from 2016 through 2026 (US Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2018).

  11. How do we get the admission to B.Ed?
    The government of UP conducts an entrance exam for B.Ed every year. The admissions are done by the university on the basis of merit and counseling result of the entrance exam. The exam are usually held in the month of March every year.
  12. What is the duration of B.Ed course?
    B.Ed is a two year degree course.
  13. What is the eligibility for scholarship?
    Scholarship is awarded by the department of social welfare on the basis of financial status/income of the candidate and academic merit of the candidate.
  14. Does college provide any transportation for Delhi NCR?
    NO, since the college enjoys an excellent location on the main NH 58, there is a 24 hour transport service of busses of various state transport corporations on this highway and the Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS) connecting Delhi to this highway. Which allows very easy access to the college to each and everyone.
  15. Do we need to buy books for the courses?
    NO
    The students get free access to the custom-built Well Stocked – Rich Computerized library which houses a collection of international text books and reference materials, journals, magazines, encyclopedias, CD-ROMs, carefully selected for all the courses offered and other diverse subjects which enhance the study experience and intellectual nourishment of it’s students.
  16. Does Amogha offer assistance for availing bank loan facility?
    YES
    At Amogha, financial limitations are not allowed to restrict career dreams of the aspiring students. In view of that, the institution has tied up with premier banks to offer easy Education Loans to its students.
  17. Is the campus Wi-Fi enabled?
    YES
    The campus has a seamless Wi-Fi network which allows student to get connected on the net any time.
  18. Is there any hostel facility for students? 
    YES
    Students coming from all nooks and corners of the country as well as abroad, are provided comfortable stay in the campus hostels. We pamper students by providing them amenities and groom them to manage their routine independently, tuning them to the real aspects of life, however letting them enjoy the comforts of reading newspapers and books, providing them nutritious Vegetarian food, safe drinking water, round the clock water supply, etc. Separate hostel for boys and girls with furnished rooms are available for Nursing students. Hostel rooms will be allotted on first come first serve basis and subject to their availability.
  19. Is Amogha a ragging free campus?
    YES
    Amogha has a policy of ‘Zero Tolerance for ragging within and outside the campus. Ragging or Sexual harassment in any form is strictly prohibited within the premises of the Amogha institute, or in any part of its constituent system. Anti-Ragging and Anti-Sexual harassment squads are highly vigilant in the college campus, hostels, cafeteria and all other areas including lawns and class rooms and outside the campus. Any individual or collective act found guilty of practicing ragging or committing sexual harassment are dealt with as per the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court and the guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
