At AMOGHA we provide solid clinical training and invaluable experiential learning to each and every student, a vital component of every medical education, at the various major medical centers and hospitals of Urban and Rural areas affiliated to it. The main focus has been continual enhancement in providing improved and more extensive hospital centered in-patient training and practice, in acute care settings and complex health systems. The aim is to work for the pro-active advancement of nursing education, research, and practice based on the student-learning-centricity as the end outcome. It delivers valuable opportunities for putting academic learning into practice and gaining work experience. Many students gain their first jobs with organisations they have encountered during their courses.
The students practice different nursing procedures and advance nursing techniques in the Hi-Tech state of the art laboratories equipped with the latest sophisticated articles, dummies and mannequins, surgical equipment, anatomical 3D models, suture material, community bags, working models, Charts, specimens and lots of other necessary equipment.
An advantage of AMOGHA is the opportunity to complete this career-oriented program in a small college environment. Most classes are small to moderate in size. The nursing department has a low student-faculty ratio, so students have personal contact with their professors.
Field studies, data gathering, laboratory activity, case studies, work based assignments, seminars, presentations, group discussions- all form part of a student’s independent learning process. At AMOGHA we encourage probing, questioning and challenging established percepts until self-learning becomes reflex action and second nature.
